Needless to say, he is not as happy about this fact.
Abbey just loves Jack or “Jackie” as she calls him. She is constantly asking where he is and what he is doing. It is super sweet. Since they are only 16 months apart in age and they will be in school back to back i hope they are close and good buddies.
I guess time will tell. For now Jack will have to share car time with her...

I had a pit in my stomach all morning until i actually went to the school. Between walking in to register her and walking out i ran into 8 moms i know. It was a GREAT feeling. At least i know we will be surrounded with familiar faces next year and for that, i am grateful.
The picture above is Maddy the weekend she got to take Angel (the class guinea pig) home. Since she was so sick most of the weekend i did not get many pictures but i do love the one above.
Is it really March 5th already??! Wow!
Today i will go and register Jack for 3 day a week preschool and Abigail for “parent and me.” Next year is going to be crazy running from school to school. Hard to even imagine how that is all going to work out smoothly but i am sure it will, some way, some how.
Below is a video of Maddy riding her razor...

Do you think someone is excited about Kindergarten?

It is a learning class for ages 6 and under. Jack was by far the youngest kid out there but he was so determined to try everything. The class lasted one hour and Jack stayed with it the whole time. So proud of him! Daddy and Uncle Tyler were even able to make it out and watch. Still cannot believe how well he is skating for 3 years old!

I have had a lot on my mind lately...On Wednesday I will register Madeline for kindergarten. Does not really seem possible yet but the time is upon us. I look over the mounds of paperwork to fill out and the decisions that need to be made and I cannot help but wonder how we got here so quickly...
The picture above is Maddy at about a month old just after a bath. So tiny, so little, so needy, so helpless...
Now she is tall, gorgeous, independent and growing up before my eyes. How did this happen??
She is so smart and loves to explore and I know she is going to LOVE kindergarten but why does that leave me feeling a tiny bit nauseous?
This is something i never thought about prior to having children. They will grow up, they will think on their own, they will get their own friends, their own ideas and one day they will realize I am not as smart as they think I am.
Hopefully, this is looking much further into the future but “real school” is giving me all of these thoughts and anxiety.
Of course, when Maddy and I talk about school Mommy puts on a happy face and when she asks me to drive her past her “new school” every few days i oblige because that is what we do for our kids.
We face the things that bring them excitement and make us feel a little uneasy...

Wow, that is terrible of me...
So what have we been doing? Dealing with sick kids...
Started a week ago that Maddy had a fever and cough...She continued to be sick through the weekend. She missed out on her friends birthday party and stayed on the couch most of the day. Luckily it was her turn to bring home the class guinea pig for the weekend which was a nice distraction for a kid who had to stay inside.
The guinea pig is named Angel and she was a great source of entertainment for the kids. Abbey kept walking up to her saying “sooooo cute.” It was adorable to watch. Maddy took really good care of her and it helped pass her sickness along.
The bummer is once Maddy started to get better Abbey spiked a fever. Not fun with a kid who will not take medicine. I guess I should have expected it since they share a room. She was so weak and just laid on our chests and did not move. It was so sad to look at. She is normally jumping around the room from couch to couch. She had a blank stare on her face...
I was supposed to go out with some girlfriends on Tuesday night but instead spent the evening with her on me just rocking in the rocking chair. It broke my heart that she was feeling so horrible but it was nice to have a few quiet hours with my baby. She snuggled on me and did not move.
She seems to be better. Not great but better.
Having sick kids is NOT fun. I am just waiting to see if Jack comes down with it next.
I have been terrible about taking pictures but i will get some this weekend.
Jack has been going ice skating a lot so i need to get some video of his “skills.”
TGIF!

They eat eggs, turkey sausage, pancakes, hash browns, tortillas, fruit, etc.
Daddy loves to cook for them and they love their special time with him. Seems like such a “simple thing” but after all, it is the “simple things” in life that bring lots of joy!

As i have blogged about before, i would love to save all of them but that would get out of control! So i take a picture of everything to preserve the memory. Takes up a lot less storage space! Here are some of their latest masterpieces.
